The war against corruption is just starting, there will be more yelling and weeping in the days ahead and the guilty should be afraid, very afraid.

Here are a few things to note:
1. The government of Dr. Alex C. Otti will continue to weed out ghost workers from the payroll, sanitise the salary payment system to guarantee that only those legitimately employed and promoted are paid regularly.
1b. If you had been earning salary as a civil servant in Abia state while permanently living in Abuja, Lagos or overseas, then your luck has run its full course.
1c. You either focus on your business or other jobs and forget about drawing salaries from Abia State government or you return home and start showing up at work everyday. A robust biometrics system shall be introduced to track attendance.
2. Those illegitimately promoted under the anomaly of "command promotion" would be returned to their proper positions in the civil service. Anyone that got "boosted" from SGL 9 to SGL 16 and made permanent secretary a day later must be level to return to SGL 9 real soon. A refund may be demanded.
3. Those working with fake certificates, forged declaration of age or with another person's credentials should be worried. They would not only be sacked, they may also face criminal prosecution.
4. Already, a Judicial Panel of Inquiry has been set up with a mandate to recover stolen wealth from officials of the previous administration. The panel would do its works diligently and its recommendations shall be be judiciously studied and implemented within the full limits of the law.
5. Those who sexually violated vulnerable students, job seekers and innocent young men and women with various schemes and plots should be afraid. The day of justice is near. Questions would be asked and answers must be sought.
6. So chill, it is too early in the day. Reserve the tears. Save more money to pay social media hounds. Grant endless interviews to the press. We shall be here. The government shall stand for justice and fairness. No amount of blackmail can stop the government from insisting that justice must prevail.
7. The government has what it takes to do what needs to be done for Ndi Abia. For us. For our children.
